Windows on the River

The city lights, the views, the urban vibes are all you need for an unforgettable wedding reception! I loved photographing at this venue, the flow from indoor to outdoor for cocktail hour, and the opportunity for night time photos is a cherry on top. The opportunity to take photos from up above and the vast space with incredible windows is what makes this venue so desirable. I highly recommend this venue for someone who’s looking for urban/city vibes for their wedding!

Attended a wedding with reception here. It provided a beautiful, simple arrangement, convenient layout to bathrooms, and a cocktail room that provide a quaint space to mingling and catch up for family and friends. The cocktail room was opposite end with large hallway form the wedding, dinning, and reception area. This allowed staff to unknowingly setup for our return to dinner and then a very rapid conversion the reception festivities. That was impressive. There was ample parking, easy access to the building, with wide stair casing and elevator to all floors. This venue dedicated a single floor for this event. There are many large elegant windows facing north and east, with view to the river as well as the city lights. Staff was very accommodating, though should be reminded of the required quiet time during a wedding ceremony. ;-)

Oh, what a beautiful building. I love industrial style, it screams America for me. Industrial revolution! I can imagine people coming here for work back then. Today there is a banquet hall and an aquarium, contemporary mixed with a lot of history. From its 2 floors high windows you could admire the lake, the bridges, the night city lights. The service was great, of course. Parking is easy. I'd love to spend more time here, I could just sit and meditate. I wish they had yoga events here.

Giving 3 stars for the beautiful building itself and the fact that it was extremely clean and most of the food was to die for. However that being said, I was in a wedding here this past weekend. If you want your bridal party or even your guests working the event, then this is the place for you! Not only is there no wedding coordinator to work with, but the staff they do have seem to be okay letting others do their work. Every venue needs someone running the show and at this location, there just simply is no one doing that. No one to guide us through where the bridal party could get ready, where to store our things, or even someone to work with the other vendors.. Luckily our photographer was familiar with this location and she was able to walk us through a lot of the unknowns. This is an expensive wedding venue and to have a wedding guest cleaning up broken glass is ridiculous. The bartenders had no information about the signature cocktails chosen by the bride - even though these details all had been planned for an entire year. Just very disappointing after a year of planning.

I attended a fantastic wedding celebration here. It's such a great place for an event. Actually the day of the event the venue had three wedding receptions going one on in the Aquarium one on the first floor and one at Windows on the River. The food and service were fantastic. The event I attended was magic --- created by the bridal party and their families and the members of the bridal party. I have attended several events at Windows and enjoyed them all.
